Module 2 Reflection

     This past module was a pleasant review of  a few things I had already delved in. Such as online discussion forums and free resources for online teachers. I remember in early 2021 when Reddit was all over the news because of their user's interest in the Gamestop stocks and thinking "wow! the power of the people! and all through the internet, incredible!" Also, I don't remember how but just recently I subscribed to Quora and get emails with all kinds of interesting (and sometimes random) questions and answers. It is amazing what people write and share on the platform. I think it's a great informative tool for those of us who like to read about real world experiences and events.       I also really enjoyed the Learning Theories website. I think it is a great resource for those of us entering the field of Ed Tech & Design. It is nice to have one place to go to with all the different theories. Module 1 Reflection

Module 1 was very interesting because it refreshed my mind of a lot things. Having been a substitute teacher during the pandemic I had been well acquainted with google classroom. At the time I remember thinking "wow! everything is so accessible." All in one place, the lessons, the assignments, the grading. I remember using Kami and thinking what a great tool it was to be able to write on pdfs for both students and teachers. I thought the google maps quizzes was also a great tool. It reminded me of one of my undergrad projects in which I would from my laptop travel back to my home town in Mexico and visit that tiny house I grew up in Guadalajara. It has now changed so much as you can see below, the white center house is now 2 stories along with the neighboring houses. I think this is a wonderful way for us who emigrated to be able to visit our birth places. It also reminds me of a great film, Lion which is based on a true story about Saroo Brierley who finds his way back home...
